LEGUMES

Broad Beans:

The most important crop grown by us in terms of area. Broad Beans are enjoying a well-deserved resurgence in popularity with a number of celebrity chefs promoting the virtues of the young, tender beans that we aim to produce.

Runner Beans:

Originally grown for ornamental purposes the culinary use of runner beans quickly became apparent. We grow both the red and white flowered varieties and use bamboo canes to support the crop.

Dwarf French Beans:

Grown without support on bush plants, Dwarf French Beans are a versatile crop being eaten either hot or dressed in salads. The delicious “crunch” of this bean also means that it is an excellent stir fry ingredient.

All of our vegetable range are picked by hand in the traditional manner, leading to less damage and a better final product than attained by machine harvesting.
